Saving on prescriptions shouldn't be this hard.

SaveRx.ai is a free resource that connects patients to official manufacturer savings programs — copay cards, patient assistance, and step-by-step enrollment — for 350+ brand-name medications.

The problem

In the United States, prescription drug costs are rising faster than almost any other healthcare expense. Patients are routinely quoted $800, $1,200, or more — for medications their doctors said they need.

Many people abandon their prescriptions. Others pay the full price, not knowing that a manufacturer program could have brought their cost down to $25 or even $0.

The information is out there. But it's scattered across dozens of manufacturer websites, each with different eligibility requirements, enrollment processes, and fine print. The system isn't broken because the programs don't exist. It's broken because patients can't find them.

The insight

Here's what surprised us: most of the savings programs patients need already exist. Manufacturer copay cards, patient assistance programs, bridge programs — pharmaceutical companies spend billions creating them. They want patients to use them.

But there is no single, trustworthy place to find them all. No clear eligibility explanations. No step-by-step guidance. Patients are left to navigate a maze of PDFs, phone trees, and conflicting Google results.

The gap isn't in the programs. The gap is in access to clear, organized information about them. That's the problem we set out to solve.

Why we built this

SaveRx started with a personal experience. My father — a physician — was prescribed Repatha for high cholesterol. The pharmacy quoted over $700 a month.

We spent weeks navigating phone calls, confusing eligibility forms, and conflicting advice before we finally found the official manufacturer copay card. His cost dropped to under $5. The program had existed the entire time — we just couldn't find it.

That experience stayed with us. Standing in line at the pharmacy, we watched other patients — many of them older, many on fixed incomes — pay full price for medications that had savings programs they simply didn't know about.

My father said something that stuck: “If I'm a doctor and I couldn't figure this out easily, what chance does a regular patient have?”

That question became SaveRx. I've spent three decades building ventures across healthcare, fintech, and technology — always focused on making complex systems more accessible. My daughter Asma helped design the experience. Together with my father's clinical perspective, we set out to build the resource we wished had existed: one place where any patient can find official savings, understand eligibility, and know exactly what to do at the pharmacy.

What we are — and what we're not

We are

  • An educational tool with clear next steps
  • Compliant with CAN-SPAM and CCPA

We are not

How we sustain this

SaveRx.ai is free to use. We believe that access to savings information should never have a price tag.

We may earn revenue through contextual advertising and affiliate partnerships with vetted telehealth providers. When we do, we disclose it clearly.

Our editorial independence is non-negotiable. Commercial relationships never influence which savings programs we show or how we rank them. Official manufacturer programs are always presented first — they're the most direct way to save.

We don't sell your personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What we believe

Access to clear, trustworthy healthcare cost information should not require a medical degree, a benefits specialist, or hours on hold.

Every patient deserves to know what savings are available for their medication, whether they qualify, and how to use them — explained simply, in one place.

If we can save one person from abandoning a prescription they need because of cost confusion, this project is worth it.

Where we're going

SaveRx is growing. We're working toward smarter, more personalized tools: insurance coverage checks, savings alerts for your specific medications, and an AI-powered assistant that can answer questions about your coverage and options.

But we're building carefully. Every feature starts with the same question: does this help the patient pay less and understand more? If the answer isn't clearly yes, we don't ship it.
